The Glory of God must be revealed, it can not be just be studied alone. We study to show ourselves approved so we rightly handle and rightly divide scripture and according to Jesus that must lead us to an encounter with Him (2 Tim 2:15, Jn 5.39).
An encounter with Jesus, in His Now resurrected, ascended state can only be an experience in the Glory of God. Indeed all encounters with God are through Him, the new and living way, through His blood, through the veil that is His flesh (Rev 1:10-15, Heb 10.19-22)
When we cease thirsting for more knowledge that comes from the wrong tree, and hunger and thirst to abide In Him the Tree of Life, The true vine, then we find the true knowledge of God; the 'experiential knowledge'. (Jn 15.1-5)
One form of knowledge leads to intimacy and love; the other kills hunger & thirst, destroys humility, causes us to puff up (1 Cor 8.1).
As a funny illustration: have you ever purchased a delicious looking pastry snack, only to bite into it, and find it is hollow with no filling. That is what knowledge that is devoid of encounter produces - it looks great on the outside but it does not fill you!
How can you tell where such 'fallen knowledge' is exalted? The answer is; there is no presence of God, no flow of the Spirit and none of the New Testaments signs of miracles, healings and the casting out of demons. It has become a performance, a place of 'word only' a humanistic enterprise of charity outreaches and fundraising that however good, simply lacks the life and vital presence of the risen Lord Jesus Christ.
BUT there is a change, God is shaking and the times of visitation are upon us.
I hear the Spirit of God saying: “The previous generation did not discern their visitation and so were left to desolation' (Lk 19.44). But now I have a remnant, who through this time of shakings have been seeking me, have been in the secret place, in their 'Cave of Adullam'.
Like Moses, your heart is stirring to say “LORD SHOW ME YOUR GLORY”! Ex 33:18-20
There is a distinction between the Glory and Presence of God.
The presence of God is the face of God, the personhood of God (Hebrew: Panyim).
And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence (Paniym) of the Lord God. Gen 3:8
The Glory of God is the sum total of His attributes and when we look at the Hebrew and Greek definitions of the words Kabowd and Doxa we see they mean: ‘Splendour, abundance, wealth, power, majesty, great honour, influence, fame, reputation, strength, dignity, excellence, holiness, greatness, fame, praise, dignity, brilliance, supremacy, perfection.
The word 'weight' or 'weightiness' sums up the word Glory.
Imagine if a person of great importance, like a President or the Queen walked into the room. They would be present – i.e. their 'presence is here'.
But also something of their atmosphere would 'be here' as well, because they have a weightiness.
Moses is asking to see the Glory of God, He is seeking 'The Revealed Glory'.
God's response is to say 'ALL my goodness' will pass before you. That means everything good about God, all of His attributes, would pass before Him.
In these end times God is raising up His remnant who walk in His presence and are having His Glory revealed to them. Such people will carry great weightiness in the Spirit, they will move in great power, miracles, signs and wonders and they will direct streams of great end time wealth.
God has a place for you in the Glory. The Glory is in the realm of the Spirit.
Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, who have set Your glory above the heavens! Ps 8:1
The verse of scripture above shows a 'Holy Spirit play on words' referring to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and His ascension to the highest heavens.
You may have just got out of prison last week, you may not have any education. You may have been a broken young woman from a string of broken relationships. Naturally speaking you may have less than no potential, no prospects, no future. You may be successful in life, have a great career, but something inside is crying out 'There must be more'!
If you are born again, God wants you to know you are now an entirely New Creation In Christ. He wants you to have revelation that He went to the cross, He was buried, went to the lowest place and came up from the dead, never to die again and to bring many sons and daughters into Glory! (2 Cor 5.17, Heb 2.10)
Forget what man says, do not be discouraged by your circumstances, even if they are completely bleak!
Make time every single morning and in the evening, to bring Him a sacrifice of praise. A 'sacrifice of praise' is costly, your thoughts and emotions may not feel like it.
DECIDING TO PRAISE GOD BREAKS CONFORMITY WITH THE PREVAILING ATMOSPHERE, AND CAUSES THE ATMOSPHERE OF HEAVEN, THE ATMOSPHERE OF WORSHIP TO BE RELEASED!
Then in that atmosphere of worship, worship Him more and more! Pour yourself out, empty yourself out and the atmosphere will grow thicker and heavier as His Glory manifests.
As His Glory fills your room, the risen Lord, King Jesus Himself will come and meet with you. He will open the scriptures to you. He will cause your heart to burn, He will open your imagination and cause you to see and know the paths He wants you to take.
In a word He will do in you according to 'His original intention' – which is 'CREATION OUT OF NOTHING'.
From an empty void, His Spirit hovered and His word came forth and said 'Let there be light' and the Glory of God exploded over that empty void.
In the Glory you will experience your life becoming a creative miracle, everything will come alive...life from the dead! Disease and sickness will vanish, debt and poverty will evaporate, depression and discouragement will be history and you will face each day empowered with the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, the eyes of your heart filled with light!
We give Glory to God – even now, something new is happening in your life as your heart burns.
Just cry out to Him now
“Lord FILL ME, flood me, overflow me with presence, glory and power in Jesus name”.
Just get before Him and DO NOT STOP until you get what you absolutely need and require...YOU NEED TO LIVE IN THE GLORY. TO BE OUTSIDE OF THE GLORY IS TO BE IN THE REALM OF SIN, THE REALM OF DEATH - THE REALM OF FALLING SHORT!
THE REALM OF THE GLORY IS WHAT YOU WERE BORN FOR, WHAT JESUS DIED FOR!
Do not stop until you meet with Him, the Risen Christ - the Christ that scripture points you to.
That's true bible faith!
